San Juan Capistrano,, CA — The JSerra Girls Water Polo team picked up their first victory of the season on Wednesday evening with a 22-4 triumph over the San Juan Hills Stallions in nonleague action at San Juan Hills High. The defending CIF-SS Division 3 champions opened their season with one-point loss to Corona del Mar on November 18th, but the Lions were in control throughout their game with the Stallions. Sophomore Kamryn Mccord led the offensive attack with six goals and was one of 10 players that recorded a goal in the game. "It was fun watching this team find their identity and capitalize on the parts of the game we plan to be successful in all year long," Lions Coach Natalie Seidemann said. "This game was a really a team effort with goals coming from everyone." "Our defense was on point and the girls were dialed in." JSerra will next be in action on Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. when they host Murrieta Valley in a rematch of the CIF Division 2 Regional Championship Game from last season, which the Lions won 8-5 to complete their CIF "title double". "We are ready for our rematch with Murietta Valley on Friday," Seidemann said. https://www.jserraathletics.org/sports/wwaterpolo/2023-24/releases/202311303km2vu
