Council, VA — Heading into Friday nights BDD matchup the #2 seed was up for grabs as the Lady Panthers traveled to Council. When the dust had settled the Lady Panthers not only earned a 35 to 33 win over the Lady Cobras, they also earned guaranteed possession of the #2 seed. Moving forward the Lady Cobras could force a tie for the 2nd spot with a win on February 9th at the KNOB, but TV owns the tie breaker due to a pre-season lottery that took place. This will assure one thing, regardless of the outcome of next Friday nights game at TV, both TV and Council will meet a 3rd time 10 days to play in the BDD Tournament semi-final round at Riverview Elementary. The Lady Panthers were led by Kiarra Gross 16 points and Leya Vanover 11 points in the win and will now face East Ridge on the road on Wednesday. With the win the Lady Panthers improve to 14-6 on the season and 3-2 in the BDD.
