San Diego, CA — Monday was a long day for Troy Warriors Varsity, falling to Canyon Crest Academy 11-2. In the first inning, Troy Warriors Varsity got their offense started when N Elorriaga doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs. In the bottom of the first inning, Canyon Crest Academy tied things up at two. Jack Hargis tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Canyon Crest Academy pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. Canyon Crest Academy scored five runs in the fourth inning. Gavin Navarro, Cole Colleran, and Will Davis powered the big inning with RBIs. Brent Peluso was the winning pitcher for Canyon Crest Academy. He went three and two-thirds innings, allowing two runs on three hits, striking out five and walking zero.
