A ground out by Halbert put Brown City Varsity Green Devils on the board in the top of the first. In the bottom of the first inning, Cass City Red Hawks Varsity went back into the lead after Ryker Wallace homered to left field, and Matt Mellendorf scored after tagging up, each scoring one run. Cass City Red Hawks Varsity added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Hayden Anthes hit into a fielder's choice, and Jackson Anthony grounded out, each scoring one run. A double by Garrett Reinke extended the Cass City Red Hawks Varsity lead to 5-1 in the bottom of the third inning. Hayden Anthes earned the win for Cass City Red Hawks Varsity.
