Cass City, MI — Despite seeing their 6-run lead whittled down by the end, Cass City Red Hawks Varsity still held off for a 7-5 victory on Thursday. Caro Tigers Varsity closed the gap by scoring on a single and an error. Cass City Red Hawks Varsity were the first to get on the board in the second when Ryker Wallace singled, scoring one run. Caro Tigers Varsity scored on a passed ball, which helped Caro Tigers Varsity tie the game at one in the top of the fourth. Cass City Red Hawks Varsity flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring six runs on five hits to take a 7-1 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a triple by Carter Patrick that drove in three. Carson Anthes earned the win for Cass City Red Hawks Varsity.
