Burnt Hills, NY — Burnt Hills defeated the Queensbury Spartans 12-4 on Saturday thanks in part to 12 runs in the first inning. Ben Yerina drew a walk, scoring one run, Anthony Renaud doubled, scoring two runs, Silas Marvin singled, scoring two runs, Atticus Marvin singled, scoring one run, Timothy Venditti singled, scoring one run, Matt Martin singled, scoring one run, Christopher Puliafico doubled, scoring two runs, Yerina singled, scoring one run, and Chad Lewandowski singled, scoring one run. Queensbury scored one run in the top of the second on a solo home run to left field by Jake Afsar-Keshmiri. Dominick Morey earned the win for Burnt Hills. The right-handed pitcher gave up one hit and one run over three innings, striking out two and walking four. Josh Roberts took the loss for Queensbury. The starting pitcher went two-thirds of an inning, surrendering six runs on one hit, striking out one and walking four. Hunter Rauhauser threw two innings of scoreless ball for the Spartans in relief. The righty allowed three hits, striking out one and walking one. Burnt Hills collected 11 hits in the game.
