Burnt Hills, NY — Both teams were strong on the bump on Friday, but Shaker was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 2-0 victory over Burnt Hill. Ben Yerina started the game for Burnt Hills and recorded 18 outs. A passed ball in each of the fifth and seventh innings decided the game for Shaker. Tommy Case earned the win for Shaker. The starting pitcher gave up three hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out eight and walking two. Yerina took the loss for the Spartans. The starting pitcher went six innings, allowing one run (zero earned) on five hits, striking out seven and walking one. Yerina, Tristan Torres, and Atticus Marvin each collected one hit for the Spartans. Timothy Venditti stole two bases.
