Saratoga Springs, NY — Burnt Hills had trouble keeping up with the Saratoga Springs Blue Streaks in a 10-0 loss on Monday at East Side Recreation Park. The Blue Streaks were the first to get on the board in the first when Jack Rigabar singled, scoring one run. Saratoga added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Louis Betit doubled, and Macklan Harris grounded out, each scoring one run. The Blue Streaks added more in the bottom of the third inning when Rigabar singled, scoring one run, Michael Mack doubled, scoring two runs, and Betit grounded out, scoring one run. Christian Mello earned the win for Saratoga. The starting pitcher allowed five hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out eight and walking three. Logan McNeal took the loss for Burnt Hills. The starting pitcher went three innings, allowing seven runs (six earned) on seven hits, striking out none and walking two. Hunter Rauhauser, Christopher Puliafico, Jack Sunkes, Ben Yerina, and Timothy Venditti each collected one hit for the Spartans. The Spartans were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error, also turning a double play. Sunkes made the most plays with nine. Rigabar provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Saratoga with three runs batted in. The number three hitter went 3-for-3 on the day. Raul Rodriguez paced the Blue Streaks with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying six walks for the game. Rigabar and Rodriguez each stole multiple bases. Saratoga stole nine bases in the game. The Blue Streaks were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Camden Rhude had the most chances in the field with 10.
