Burnt Hills, NY — BHBL JV Baseball won big over Ichabod Crane JV Baseball 10-0 on Tuesday at BHBL High School. BHBL got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Tucker Sunkes doubled, scoring two runs, and Josh Darcy grounded out, adding on a third run. The Spartans added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning, when John klopfer singled, scoring two runs. An error scored another run before Charlie Venditti singled, scoring one more. Sunkes earned the win on the mound for the Spartans. He allowed one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out five and walking none. Cooper Houghton tossed one inning of scoreless ball for BHBL in relief, allowing one hit, and walking two. BHBL collected nine hits in the game, with Venditti, Eli Rosendo, and Klopfer getting two hits a piece. Klopfer, Sam Pezzolesi, and Sunkes each drove in two runs for the Spartans. Venditti and Sunkes also stole multiple bases for the Spartans, as the team ran wild on the base paths, amassing seven stolen bases for the game.
