Laguna Beach, CA — March 21, 2024 In a captivating display of skill and determination, the varsity golf teams from Laguna Beach High School and Edison High School squared off at the picturesque yet challenging Ben Browns golf course in Laguna Beach, California, on Thursday, March 21, 2024. Despite Laguna Beach's commendable performance, it was Edison High School that emerged victorious with a final score of 178 to 196. Ben Browns golf course, renowned for its narrow fairways and demanding greens, provided a good test for both teams. Laguna delivered an impressive showing, posting a seven-year team-low score at Ben Browns with an outstanding 196. Despite falling short in the final score, their performance was a testament to their dedication and improvement as a team. Sophomore Hudson Mills led the charge for the Breakers, posting a career-low score of 37. In addition, sophomore Kiyan Arshadi and freshman Josh Bellisime were close behind, both posting scores of 39. Evan Kretschmer 40 and Ranen Seeck 41 rounded out Laguna's scores. However, the Surf League's Edison squad proved to be too deep as a team, with their players posting scores of 32, 34, 37, 37, and 38 to secure the win.
