Costa Mesa, CA — April 16, 2024 Corona Del Mar High School's boys' varsity golf team was too deep for the Breakers, as the Sea Kings emerged victorious against Laguna Beach High School on April 16, 2024. Played over nine holes at the shorter, but tricky Mesa Linda golf course at Costa Mesa Country Club, Corona Del Mar showcased their talent and skill, securing a notable win 184-210. Corona Del Mar's exceptional performance was evident as all their players shot under 40 on the day, a remarkable feat that highlighted their depth and consistency. Leading the charge for Corona Del Mar was Steven Yang, who earned the prestigious title of match medalist with a stellar one-over-par score of 36. On the opposing side, Laguna Beach freshman, Joshua Bellisime, and senior Russell Franconi-Krychman led the charge for the Breakers, both posting solid scores of 4 over par 39. Their determined play showcased Laguna Beach's resilience and determination to compete at the highest level.
