Costa Mesa, CA — Today was a tough assignment as the Lions come of a 10 day vacay of frolicking in the sand, sun, snow around the globe. "It's always a chore to see who played and who didn't," says KOach, but, once they start serving, I can tell right away." The chore in this assignment was moving people around a little switching some teams up and even swapping some deuce/ad positions. Our lineup change definitely caught them by surprise, one of their top players admitted to us. The Lions doubles teams played superbly, as evidenced by the score sheet above. Brady/Cole, Mikey/Alex and Connor/Mike G. won 72 games and gave up a mere 10! They are all MVP's for sure. Riley played probably the best set I've seen in Trinity beating James Krantz 6-4 in round 2. Directly following that, he was up on Matteo Huarte 2-0 before cramping. Aid was administered he tried to continue, but, cramped up again and tossed in the proverbial towel. Cole Carlson took their line 3 singles to the toolshed, 6-0 for our 12th point. We will hydrate to the brim tonight and tomorrow before traveling to SM for the backend of our home/away Wednesday. This match should decide the Trinity League Championship assuming neither of us falter against teams we both have beaten. Big thanks to our parents who traveled today to the Costa Mesa Tennis Center, which incidentally, is where Mater Dei started playing their matches many years ago. GO LIONS !!!
