Game MVP

Yuan “Captain Sam” Gou played a remarkable comeback tie-breaker set to win our 10th and deciding victory. He did this with a mixture of heavy topspin forehands, crazy slice backhands, and some spectacular drop shots…. plus some speed! Huge win for us!!! Sam was 100%er, winning the only set he was assigned to.

Jacob, was part of the undefeated trio at line 2 doubles who won all 3 sets. Each player won 2 sets, one each with the other 2 partners. Solid performance by Jacob, nursing a recent ankle injury.

Alex was part of the undefeated trio at line 2 doubles who won all 3 sets. Each player won 2 sets, one each with the other 2 partners. In addition to his regular partner, Michael Aceves, Alex and Jacob LeBrun played well together.

HB was another 100%er today winning both sets played: 6-4, 6-2. Demonstrating good point structure and mixture of shots, HB outlasted both his opponents by very consistent play. Great job HB.

Robert won both his sets, 6-2, 6-2 hitting deep ground strokes and moving his opponent around. First serve percentage was solid and he responded well to short angles and drop shots. He joins the 100% club with his performance tonight, great job.
