South Pasadena, CA — The South Pasadena Varsity Tigers won their season opener on Saturday, February 10 over El Rancho at home. Everything was working for the Tigers, with outstanding pitching by Nolan Adams (1ER, 4K over 6 innings). The Tiger bats came alive as well, as they got 8 hits from up and down the lineup. Luke Riffle had a triple off the wall that scored two runs, Aaron Kawasaki hit a double, and Griffin Johnson had three RBIs. Devin Robinson and Gabe Vogel made spectacular plays in the outfield to save runs. In the infield, Elijah Garcia, Jon Bracamonte, and Nolan Adams turned a 4-6-3 double play in the seventh inning. Benjamin Regan closed out the game. An excellent way to begin the 2024 Tiger season!
