Honolulu, HI — Defense wins championships. It also wins playoff games. Host Moanalua brought the pressure on both ends of the court as it dominated Mililani, 49-24, Friday night in the quarterfinal of the OIA Division I girls basketball tournament. Na Menehune held the Trojans without a field goal in the first and fourth quarter as they advance to play reigning league champion Campbell next Monday in the second semifinal at Pearl City in a rematch of last year's title game. Akaecia Mateo came off the bench for Moanalua to score 18 points to lead all scorers. Shailoh Liilii scored 13 points with nine rebounds and Rheanna Nobleza had seven points and seven of Na Menehune's 19 total steals to round out the top performers for the home team.
