South Pasadena, CA — In an extra-innings contest at home on Tuesday, the South Pasadena Varsity Tigers were edged by the Marshall Eagles. With a strong performance by starter Charlie Vogel and solid relief by Leo Castillo Jr., the score was tied at 1-1 at the end of seven innings. The Tigers outhit the Eagles, 7-2 with Aaron Kawasaki and Nolan Adams garnering two hits a piece. Griffin Johnson, Jon Bracamonte and Charlie Vogel each posting singles. The Eagles took a 3-1 lead in the top of the ninth, the Tigers looked to make a comeback. After three walks and a single by Bracamonte, it looked possible, but they ended up falling just short, 3-2.
