Monrovia, CA — The South Pasadena Varsity Tigers were victorious on the road as they beat the Monrovia Wildcats 3-1 on Thursday. Nolan Adams did the heavy lifting on the mound, going six innings, striking out eight and giving up no runs. Adams has yet to surrender a run this season. The Tigers offense came alive in the game. In the first inning, Griffin Johnson singled to left field, followed by a walk by Luke Riffle. Devin Robinson singled home Johnson and Leo Castillo drove in another run. The Tigers' finished with 10 hits, led by Robinson and Johnson's 3 hits apiece, Castillo's 2 hits, and catcher Jesse Chavez's line drive to left. The Tigers look to build on this victory when they play Venice on Saturday.
