South Pasadena, CA — The South Pasadena Varsity Tigers beat the Venice Gondoliers on Saturday in a high scoring affair. The Tigers had ten hits, including two each by Leo Castillo Jr. and Nolan Adams. The scoring got going early, with singles by Griffin Johnson, Adams, Jon Bracamonte, and Castillo Jr. leading to four runs. Elijah Garcia, Aaron Kawasaki, and Luke Riffle also hit in the game. Pitching was strong as well, with Owen Woodworth pitching the first three innings, giving up only one run. Gabe Vogel came in in relief, pitching three innings and striking out two. Charlie Vogel got the save, pitching one no-hit inning. The Tigers return to league play on Monday against Temple City.
