Temple City, CA — The Tigers won the season series against the Temple City on Thursday, beating the Rams 1-0 behind another masterful performance by pitcher Nolan Adams. Adams pitched a complete 5-hit, 4-strikeout game. The end of the game provided some drama, when Adams struck out the last batter with the bases loaded. The only run of the game came in the first, when Griffin Johnson singled, Aaron Kawasaki and Jon Bracamonte reached on errors, and Leo Castillo Jr. singled home Kawasaki. Luke Riffle, Elijah Garcia, and Adams also had hits in the game. The Tigers turned two double plays. The first, in the third inning, was by Gabe Vogel as he caught a fly ball and doubled off the runner at second. The second, in the seventh inning, was a nifty 6-4-3 double play by Bracamonte, Garcia, and Castillo. The Tigers will be in San Diego next week playing in the Lions Tournament for the second year.
