Escondido, CA — The South Pasadena Varsity Tigers won the opening game of the San Diego Lions Tournament, pounding out ten hits and scoring nine runs. Nolan Adams was 3 for 3 with a double and two singles. Jesse Chavez and Griffin Johnson each had two hits and Elijah Garcia, Gabe Vogel, and Leo Castillo Jr. had a single a piece. Benjamin Regan pitched four innings, giving up one hit, no runs, and handing out three strikeouts. Gave Vogel worked two innings in relief, striking out two. Luke Riffle closed out the game, striking out the side in the seventh inning.
