Fairfield, CA — The Vikings scored six runs in the top of the seventh to have a comeback win with a score of 11-8. Alex Maushart collected three hits in three at bats. Maushart singled in the first inning, singled in the second, and singled in the sixth inning. Vanden got on the board in the top of the inning after Isaiah Shahan walked, and Cayne Hill hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring a run. Vanden added one run in the second after Bryce Alcantara was struck by a pitch. In the fourth inning Vanden broke the tie when an error scored one run. Then a single by Alcantara followed to extend the lead 5-3. Vanden down 8-5 going into the seventh inning Vanden scored six runs on three hits to take a 11-8 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Shahan that drove in two. Jackson Armstrong picked up the win. The reliever surrounded two hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out two and walking one. Vanden piled up 10 hits in the game. Shahan provided the pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Vanden with three runs batted in. Alcantara and Hill each collected multiple hits. Vanden tallied eight walks with Kekoa Grinton and Alex Maushart each had two base on balls. Vanden will host Armijo on Wednesday
