West Bend, WI — Mackenzie Rolf drove in six runs – four on a second-inning grand slam – as the Spartans improved to 17-4 overall and 16-1 in North Shore Conference play. The visiting Owls swatted four home runs on the night, including two in a three-run first inning. West responded with four runs in its half of the first. Slinger tied the game with a home run in the second. Rolf's grand slam gave West the lead for good. Lindsay Sandleback's two-out, two-run homer put the Spartans up 10-4 in the third. Slinger scored three in its half of the fifth but the Spartans answered again with three in the bottom of the inning. Mia Buske was 4-for-5 with four runs scored at the top of the order for West. Rolf had three hits and Sandleback, Maiya Tearney and Riley Weber had two each. Sandleback got the win with Tearney notching a save with 1-2/3 innings of one-hit relief.
