Bethlehem, PA — 🌧️Rain, 🌨️sleet, ❄️snow, 🌞sun, and 💨wind Freedom Baseball took on Nazareth where the game saw the scoreboard change as quickly and frequently as the weather. Nazareth scored 1 in the top of the rain soaked first but Freedom answered in the bottom half of the inning with 6 of their own led with RBI singles from Phillips, Walker, and Andrews. Nazareth tied the game at 6 in the top of the fourth inning after scoring 3 in the second and 2 in the fourth only to be answered with 4 runs by the Freedom Pates in the bottom half of the inning. Patriots had the lead after four innings 10-6 but that is when Nazareth flipped the game in their favor and never looked back scoring 5 in the fifth and 6 in sixth. Freedom Pates could not find an answer of offense after the fourth inning. Walker, Heineman, Sweitzer, and Phillips battled through the weather combining to strikeout 13 Nazareth batters but did not get enough from their defense that surrendered nine errors. Cobb, Peluso, Phillips, and Horvath led the with offense nine total bases.
