Bethlehem, PA — Easton Area Junior Varsity snatched the lead late in the their 5-4 victory over Freedom Monday at FHS. The game was tied at four in the top of the seventh when the deciding run scored an a balk. The JV Rovers got out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the first when Miles Worthy cleared the bases when he reached on an error with the bases loaded. The Patriots clawed back to tie the game with runs in the 2nd, 3rd and 5th including a solo home run. Nolan Stem earned the win for Easton. Jacob Hackman started and Dom Crisci picked up the save with a 1-2-3 innings in the seventh. The JV Rovers had patience at the plate accumulating nine walks, despite not having a hit. Next up for the Junior Varsity Rovers is a road game Tuesday at Parkland. Game time is 4:45 pm.
