Kenosha, WI — Andrew Mitchell struck out 10 batters as he helped lead the Zee-Bees past Wilmot Union High School 8-3 on Thursday. Mitchell threw a complete game surrendering four hits and three runs while only walking one. Wilmot opened the scoring in the third inning, with two runs scoring on a triple. The Zee-Bees would flip the game on its head in the top of the fifth, scoring five runs on three hits to take a 6-2 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a two-run double by Dominik Leith. Leith led the way offensively for the Bees with three runs batted in. He went 2-4 on the day at the plate. Leith, Rafael Villalobos Jr., and Michael Gonzalez each collected two hits for the Bees. The Bees have a strong eye at the plate, amassing nine walks for the game. Dominic Diliberti, Mitchell, Jack Marabella, and AJ Neargarder led the team with two walks a piece. Brayden Duran was hit by pitches three times! The Zee-Bees also stole four bases on the day, led by Ivan Jones with two, with Duran and Neargarder also contributing on the basepaths. The Zee-Bees return to action on Monday, playing at Mundelein at 4:45 pm.
