Fontana, CA — Miller Varsity Rebels lost to San Bernardino 6-4 on Tuesday at A.B. Miller High School. San Bernardino got on the board in the third inning after Raymond Merancio doubled, scoring one run. A single by Izaiah Ramos gave Miller Varsity Rebels the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the fifth. San Bernardino took the lead, 3-2, in the top of the sixth thanks to doubles by Alexander De La Paz, and Rikou Sasser. Aiden Zuno earned the win for San Bernardino. The starting pitcher allowed four hits and four runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out seven and walking three. Gabe Mendez took the loss for Miller Varsity Rebels. They went six innings, surrendering four runs on seven hits, striking out three and walking four. Michael Castillo, Liam Good, Trujillo, and Ramos each collected one hit for Miller Varsity Rebels. Trujillo led Miller Varsity Rebels with one run batted in. The catcher went 1-for-2 on the day. Miller Varsity Rebels turned two double plays in the game. Miller Varsity Rebels were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Landon Herrera made the most plays with six. Miller Varsity Rebels will travel to Indian Springs for their next game on Thursday.
