Fontana, CA — Miller Varsity Rebels got out to a 7-run lead in the fourth inning and held on for an 8-6 victory over Jurupa Valley on Thursday. Jurupa Valley closed the gap by scoring on an error, a double, and a single. Miller Varsity Rebels were the first to get on the board in the first when Liam Good singled, scoring one run. Miller Varsity Rebels added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Ilya Ridge singled, and Good walked, each scoring one run. Miller Varsity Rebels added one run in the third after Landon Herrera grounded out. Ridge earned the win for Miller Varsity Rebels. They allowed four hits and six runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out five and walking none. Andrew Padilla took the loss for Jurupa Valley.
