Nampa, ID — Skyview Varsity Hawks flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fifth, scoring seven runs on seven hits to take a 13-6 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a grand slam to left field by Kenna Bettencourt that drove in four runs. Makenna Shamy earned the win for Skyview. She surrendered three hits and two runs (one earned) over three innings, striking out two and walking one. Annalise Rodrick started in the circle for Skyview Hawks. The right-handed pitcher gave up five hits and four runs (two earned) over three innings, striking out three and walking two. Skyview piled up 16 hits in the game. Kenna Bettencourt led the Lady Hawks with four runs batted in. The outfielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Makayla Lytle, Karri Hatch, Grace Chambers, and Jayla Archuleta each collected multiple hits for the Hawks. Mako Caringella hit two home runs, one in the third and the second in the fifth inning.
