Rochester, MN — Burnsville Varsity Blaze easily dispatched John Marshall Varsity Rockets on Friday at John Adams Middle School, 11-1. Burnsville Varsity Blaze opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. Burnsville Varsity Blaze first got on the board when Jacob Neutz singled, scoring one run. Burnsville Varsity Blaze added to their early lead in the top of the third inning when Jacob Neutz doubled, scoring one run, Darren Einberger grounded out, scoring one run, and Luke McHugh doubled, scoring two runs. Jacob Neutz earned the win for Burnsville Varsity Blaze. The right-handed pitcher gave up one hit and one run (zero earned) over three innings, striking out seven and walking five. Mason Konz took the loss for John Marshall Varsity Rockets. The starting pitcher went three innings, allowing six runs (one earned) on six hits, striking out three and walking one.
