Burnsville, MN — Even though Burnsville Blaze Varsity collected five hits to Eagan Varsity Wildcats's four, they still fell 7-4 on Wednesday at Alimagnet Athletic Fields. Collin Heckman led Burnsville Blaze Varsity with two hits. Eagan Varsity Wildcats got on the board in the top of the fourth inning after Anthony Hyvare drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, Matt Cunningham doubled, scoring one run, and Joe Anderson grounded out, scoring one run. Eagan Varsity Wildcats scored one run in the top of the sixth on a solo home run to left field by Anthony Hyvare. Danny Lachemayer earned the win for Eagan Varsity Wildcats. The left-handed pitcher surrendered five hits and four runs over five innings, striking out two and walking two. Nick Discher took the loss for Burnsville Blaze Varsity. The righty went three and two-thirds innings, surrendering five runs (two earned) on three hits, striking out four and walking four. Jackson Tsahalis earned the save. Jacob Neutz and John Santelman were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Burnsville Blaze Varsity. Anthony Hyvare provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Eagan Varsity Wildcats with two runs batted in. The first baseman went 1-for-2 on the day.
