Riley played awesome today! Down 3-5 vs Mater Dei's#1player in round one, Riley fights back, gets into the breaker and pulls it out 7-6 [8-6]. In our previous meeting, Riley defeated James Krantz in an epic battle, then cramped up vs Matteo, up 2-0... default results in a 6-2 loss. Riley is the only guy to defeat SM's #1 player, but, gets seeded #3? Oh well, he's got to beat both of these guys anyway to win the belt!

Michael Geffre

Mike was a monster at the net again today. He and Connor again play a long tight round one match, defeating Mater Dei's 'other' #1 singles player who was moved into doubles today. This match along with Riley's epic win over Huarte helped give the Lions a 5-1 lead after round one! Brady, Charlie/Cade, Mikey/Alex added the other first round tallies!

Connor Faul

Connor settled down today with dynamic baseline groundies, setting up his partner, Michael for net winners. Connor also served very well today. This pair could be a dark horse in the tournament next week. If Connor and Mike continue on this path, they could beat anyone in the event.
