Jermyn, PA — DUNMORE 20, LAKELAND 6 Izaiah Parker’s 63-yard touchdown run in the 4th quarter pushed the Bucks past the Chiefs 20-14. After Lakeland’s Caden Cuzzo tied the game midway through the 4th, it was Parker’s heroics that allowed Dunmore to win their second straight win. The Bucks jumped out early with two first quarter touchdowns. Gabe Franek started the scoring with an 8-yard touchdown run and a Dunmore 7-0 lead. They would get the ball back and this time would score through the air when Jack McNeff found Xavier Burke for an 18-yard touchdown reception and 14-0 lead. Lakeland would cut the lead in half in the second quarter when David Naniewicz found Jayden Poklemba for a 12-yard touchdown pass to make it 14-7. After a scoreless third quarter, the Chiefs would take advantage of good field position to tie the game before Parker’s game-winning score. Dunmore (2-4, 1-0) will travel to first place Mid Valley next Friday while Lakeland (2-4, 0-1) hosts Honesdale.
