Warwick, NY — Warwick, NY – October 10, 2024 Pine Bush varsity football put up a strong effort but came up short in a 43-28 loss to Warwick on Thursday night. Despite battling numerous injuries, with multiple players sidelined, the Bushmen fought to within 8 points late in the fourth quarter before Warwick pulled away in the closing minutes. Pine Bush's ground game was dominant, racking up 340 yards on 31 carries and scoring four rushing touchdowns. However, Warwick’s potent passing attack proved too much, as the Bushmen gave up several big plays on defense and made too many mistakes on offense. This non-league loss to Warwick, one of the top 15 ranked Class A teams in New York, drops Pine Bush to 2-3 on the season. The Bushmen will look to bounce back in a big way as they host Newburgh this Friday night at 7:00 p.m. for Senior Night, with hopes of securing a key league win in front of their home crowd.
