Anaheim, CA — JV girls tennis up’d their record to 10 wins - 1 loss and league record to 3-1 this afternoon with a solid win over Orange Lutheran 15-3, setting up a crucial rematch with Mater Dei next Tuesday. Dylan Henderson and Kinsley Moore each went 3 for 3 sweeping 6 straight sets of singles, with Sam McCulloch picking up 2 more. We also won 7 of 9 sets of doubles. Riley Godber and Arina Wagner opened up with a win at line #2, followed by Isabella Aftabi and Gianna Gancar who picked up another set in round 2. Kate Layk and Caitlyn Davidson won both sets played in rounds 1 and 2. Sydney Shaw and Christina Nama also won both sets of doubles played before being sub’d out for Jessica Jenkins and Rowan Johnston, who picked up a 3rd round victory at line 1 doubles. No select MVP’ers today, the whole team gets shout outs and kudos for a total team effort. Everyone played well, even in the few sets we dropped. Next up: Tuesday, Oct. 22nd vs Mater Dei.
