Storm Lake, IA — 11/15/2024 The Minnesota West Bluejay wrestlers traveled to Storm Lake, IA to take on the Beavers of Buena Vista University. Previous to the official dual beginning, Billey Mensah (Fr. Arlington, TX) achieved a Fall early in the first period of his exhibition match! Varsity action started at 125 with Austin Hansen (Fr. Estherville, IA) falling by technical fall in the third period. The Bluejays were open at 133. The Beavers controlled much of the dual up to 174. Sam Rock (Fr. Luverne, MN) got the Bluejays on the board with a Major Decision! At 184, Aidyn Wolfe (Fr. Riverview, FL) achieved a Major Decision of his own! The Bluejays ultimately fell to the Beavers 43-8. The Bluejays will be on the mat again this Wednesday for our home opener against Ellsworth Community College and Rochester Community and Technical College! #rolljays
