Worthington, MN — 1-11-2024 The Bluejays returned Home for the first time in 2025 as they took on the Northland CTC Pioneers, and the Ridgewater College Warriors in a tightly contested inter-conference tri-dual. The Bluejays began the day against Northland CTC. Action started at 184 with Aidyn Wolfe (Fr. Riverview, FL) earning a Fall for the Bluejays to get them on the board early! Alex Schmitz (Fr. Little Falls, MN) collected a forfeit 197, and Billey Mensah (Fr. Arlington, TX) kept the momentum rolling after a medical forfeit put the Bluejays ahead 18-0. Injury, illness, and absences plagued both lineups. The Bluejays were forced to forfeit at 125, 133, and 141 bringing the dual score to 18 all. The Bluejays dropped the next two matches, and capped the dual off with a forfeit victory from #9 ranked Sam Rock (Fr. Luverne, MN)! The Bluejays ultimately feel to the Pioneers 30-24. In the second dual of the day, Austin Hansen (Fr. Estherville, IA) got things started by collecting a forfeit victory at 125. After a pair of losses, Mason Gladfelter (Fr. Albuquerque, NM) collected a forfeit at 157, followed by a decision victory from Treveon Owens (Fr. Lakeville, MN) at 165! The Warriors were forced to forfeit at 174, 184, and 197 giving Sam Rock, Aidyn Wolfe, and Brody Knapp (So. Rapid City, SD) their second wins of the day. Billey Mensah put the final touches on the dual win, earning a fall in the first period, and boosting the Bluejays to a 39-9 victory!
