San Bruno, CA — The Lady Mustangs lost their home opener in a tough fought game 33-30. Leading by as many as 7, the Lady Mustangs struggled a bit with the Titans 1-2-2 extended defense and had 27 turnovers. Late in the game the Titans tried pressing with a zone press in which the Lady Mustangs shredded easily forcing the Titans to come out of it quickly. Fighting hard and never quitting until the final buzzer the Lady Mustangs definitely had their opportunities. The Lady Mustangs out rebounded the Titans 33-23 with Sophia Cacianti, Sipola Lavulo and Kaitlyn Staff dominating the boards.
