Redwood City, CA — Happy Thanksgiving from Sequoia Girls Basketball! We're grateful for your continued support as we grow together this season. In our home opener, we hosted Notre Dame (Belmont). The team showed great promise early, racing to a 10-point halftime lead. However, growing pains emerged in the 2nd half as we faced adversity, ultimately falling 29-44. Senior captain and post Desi Huffer anchored us with 6 points and 7 rebounds, while Senior forward KyLeah Gil showcased her strong impact with a +9 for the game. Though the results didn't fall in our favor, each challenge helps water our roots, strengthening our foundation. Together, we're focused on collective growth, learning from every game and building towards a bright season ahead.
