Rams get last regular season win over Lions

The HJR-Dombroski team concluded the regular season with a commendable 34-11 victory over Maple Valley West on Saturday. This win ensures that Holt will finish at least in fourth place within their ten-team bracket.
The Rams demonstrated strong performance on the boards, achieving a game-high total of 52 rebounds, along with a season-high of 3 assists against the Lions.
Top individual performances were recorded by Jon Steele and Kash James, both of whom scored a game-high 8 points. Steele also contributed a game-high 12 rebounds and recorded 3 steals, while James added 8 rebounds and 4 steals to his tally. Other notable contributions came from Jackson Dombroski (2 points, 4 steals, 4 rebounds, 1 assist & 1 block), Zachary Mead (4 points, 1 rebound & 1 assist), Cameron Flores (6 points, 4 steals, 2 rebounds & 1 block), and Cameron Powell (6 points, 4 steals & 6 rebounds). We also want to acknowledge the entire team for their collective effort, which led to an excellent team performance this season, including contributions from Liam VandeCar and Holden Wharton (1 rebound each), Ryan Brooks (2 steals & 3 rebounds), and Jaxson James (3 rebounds, 2 steals & 1 assist).
With the regular season now over, the Rams will participate in a final scrimmage against the competitive Charlotte-Bracken team on Saturday, February 22 (Time: TBD), prior to competing in the Red Cedar Tournament on March 1 and 2. Further details regarding these games will be communicated to parents in the upcoming weeks. Practices will continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at Hope Middle School through February 27.
