Recap
West Sacramento, CA — Sac High opened the game on 29-5 run and never looked back as the Lady Dragons whacked Center in the second round of the Rumble on the River tournament in West Sacramento.
The scrappy Lady Dragons came out with an attitude and played at a frenetic pace defensively, blitzing Center from the jump. Sac held the Cougars to a single point for close to 9 minutes stretching from late in the first quarter through late in the second quarter.
Using a suffocating full court pressure defense, the Lady Dragons forced 47 turnovers and only allowed Center to put a 23 shots for the entirety of the game. La Ne Dunn led the way with a near triple double, recording 18 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and a ridiculous 16 steals (with 15 deflections). Ne'Veah Curtis added 13, Chrisshaya Haygood had 8 and fellow freshman wing Bianca Clark had 7.
With the victory, the Lady Dragons advance to the Consolation Championship of the River City High School hosted Rumble on the River Tournament where they will face the Casa Roble Rams.
