Wachusett JV Hockey (6-5-0) loses games to Shrewsbury
After falling behind by four goals Wachusett potted their first goal early in the third period with a great goal from Vaughn Lane (Fr.) assisted from Heath Hebb (So.) and Luke Kirton (So.). Wachusett started their rally in front of some key stops from Ivan Chernov (So.). Ryan Stand (So.) struck home a rebound from Thomas Viens (So.) and Owen Browne (So.) to make it 4-2 late in third period, but it was too late for the team to complete the comeback. The team made some great defensive plays to keep the game close, including killing off two third period penalties. The team will look for more wins this week ahead with games against Algonquin and Westborough to finish out the regular season.
