Medford, OR — Competing against a Top-10 4A school in the form of the Cascade Cougars, the Cascade Christian Challengers put forward a game effort but stopped just short of a win as the 7-2 Cougs bested the Challengers 51-43 to win the Girls’ Varsity championship at the Cascade Christian Christmas Classic. For the CCHS girls, it was just their second defeat of the season as they fell to 5-2. Izzy McCauley and Jordynn Jones keyed a fourth-quarter rally, as the senior standouts overcame slow starts to end up with 20 points and 11 points respectively. Emma Coats added 7, Angelica Arce 4, and Sienna Wilcox 1. The Challengers outscored the Cougars 14-6 in the fourth, showing a “no quit” attitude.
