Salem, OR — The Cascade Christian Challenger girls earned a big victory against a quality opponent, handing Stanfield just their second loss of the season at the Salem Academy tournament. Izzy McCauley dropped 25 points on the Tigers and Julia Brehm added 9 points and 9 rebounds as the Challengers won 52-44. The win earns CCHS a trip to Saturday’s tournament final at 3:30 pm.
McCauley also collected 9 rebounds, had 2 steals, and made 3 3-pointers. Jordynn Jones had 6 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 blocked shots, and Morgan Samhammer had 8 boards to go with 3 points. Emma Coats and Grace McCauley led the team in assists with 2 apiece.
With the victory, the Challengers are 7-2, and are 7th in the Oregon 3A power rankings.
