Oceanside, CA — The Lancer JV squad had its' first match of the season on Wednesday afternoon at their home course, Goat Hill Park in Oceanside. Visiting was the JV squad from San Marcos HS. The teams played a "two man scramble" format. It was a close battle, but San Marcos pulled off the road win with a 3 shot win over the Lancer linksmen. The "Play of the Day" was from Sophomore Jordan Demeuse, who had a "natural" birdie on the challenging par 3 5th hole, rolling in a 15 footer! The next JV match for the Lancers will be next Monday, 3/10, playing La Costa Canyon's squad at Rancho Carlsbad golf course in Carlsbad.
