Oceanside, CA — On Wednesday afternoon, the Lancer Boys JV Golf squad hosted the San Marcos HS team. This is already the third meeting between these teams this season. Coach Steve Jess of Carlsbad and Coach Isaac Bell of San Marcos chose the "alternate shot" team format for this match. It is the most challenging way to play 2 man team golf. The San Marcos Knights picked up their third win of the young season against the Lancer squad. The score for was 124 to 137 in this format. After the match Lancer Coach Steve Jess said "Our JV squad is gaining valuable experience in every match. They are trying to get a little bit better every day. Already I have seen significant improvement from all of these Lancers since the season started. It is always fun to see their enthusiasm on the course."
