Oceanside, CA — On a foggy, rainy afternoon at Goat Hill Park GC in Oceanside, the Lancer JV Boys golf squad took on the Caimans (once again, a large angry lizard, or small alligator) from Classical Academy. Have to say, the Lancer team uniforms are legit! Shout out to Coach John for setting it all up - we look tight! This match was 5 on 5, as both teams were missing a player. To win the match, it would be vital to have the Lancers be consistent through the order. And that's what happened - the Lancers got a great "W" in this match, 215 to 229. The Caimans had the two lowest scores, but also the two highest. The host Lancers had all five players under 50 for the match, with Keegan Hughes leading the way with a 39. "Getting the boys to understand that every shot counts has been a goal in the first half of the season. And consistency with the team's scoring is the year long goal. Today was a great way to head into Spring Break" said Coach Steve Jess after the match. Let's go LANCERS!
