Lebanon, TN — Despite seeing their 4-run lead whittled down by the end, Station Camp Varsity Bison still held off for an 8-7 victory on Friday. Lebanon closed the gap by scoring on a single, a single, a single, a double, a sacrifice fly, and a ground out. Station Camp opened the scoring in the first after Nate Parsons drew a walk, scoring one run. Singles by Noah Beloney and Collin Gillispie extended the Station Camp Varsity Bison lead to 4-0 in the top of the third inning. Lebanon tied the game at four on a single by Jordan Jewell. Station Camp took the lead in the top of the fifth. Noah Jenkins drew a walk, scoring one run, to give Station Camp the lead, 6-4. Lebanon tied the game in the bottom of the seventh thanks to a double by Evyn Underwood, and a sacrifice fly by Carson Fox. The Bison took the lead, 8-6, in the top of the eighth thanks to two walks. Logan Reece earned the win for Station Camp. The right-handed pitcher allowed two hits and one run over one and one-third innings, striking out one and walking none. Carter Mcpeak took the loss for Lebanon. The hurler went one inning, surrendering zero runs on zero hits, striking out three and walking two. Jaxzon Miller stepped on the mound first for the Bison. The lefty gave up six hits and four runs over four innings, striking out three and walking two. Cade Thorne began the game for Lebanon. The starting pitcher surrendered five hits and four runs (two earned) over two and one-third innings, striking out one and walking four. Grayson Goodall appeared in relief for Station Camp Varsity Bison. Station Camp tallied 11 hits in the game. Noah Beloney led Station Camp Varsity Bison with two runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The left fielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Collin Gillispie went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Station Camp Varsity Bison in hits. Noah Jenkins, Nate Parsons, and Isaac Weeks each collected multiple hits for Station Camp Varsity Bison. Station Camp had patience at the plate, collecting 10 walks for the game. Noah Jenkins, Nate Parsons, and Noah Beloney led the team with two walks each. Noah Jenkins stole three bases. The Bison ran wild on the base paths, collecting seven stolen bases for the game. Lebanon amassed 11 hits in the game.
