Miller Varsity Rebels Loses Despite Out Hitting San Bernardino

Miller Varsity Rebels fell 6-4 to San Bernardino on Monday despite out-hitting them six to three. Nate Lora led Miller Varsity Rebels with three hits.
San Bernardino got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Aiden Zuno singled down the left field line, #8 hit a sacrifice fly, and Gabriel Mendivil singled to center field, each scoring one run.
Miller Varsity Rebels made the score 4-3 in the top of the third after Lora doubled, scoring two runs, Raphael Sotello hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and Giovanni Aguilar grounded out, scoring one run.
San Bernardino jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the third inning after Juan Silva was struck by a pitch, and Chris Rogers grounded into a fielder's choice, each scoring one run.
Zuno earned the win for San Bernardino. The pitcher surrendered six hits and four runs over six and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking four. Ilya Ridge pitched four innings in relief for Miller Varsity Rebels. The pitcher surrendered one hit and one run (zero earned) while, striking out four and walking none. Liam Good took the loss for Miller Varsity Rebels. The right-handed pitcher went two innings, giving up five runs on two hits, striking out none and walking five. Brayden Williamson earned the save.
Lora drove the middle of the lineup, leading Miller Varsity Rebels with two runs batted in. The first baseman went 3-for-4 on the day.
