Fontana, CA — By GameChanger Media Miller Varsity Rebels couldn't keep up with Troy and fell 13-4 on Thursday. A double by Nico Lopez put Troy on the board in the top of the third. Troy scored five runs on five hits in the top of the fourth inning. Dylan Hernandez induced Logan Taylor to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Braden Hawkins doubled, scoring two runs, Lopez singled, scoring one run, and Nolan Streand induced Darren Woo to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored. Woo earned the win for Troy. The pitcher gave up three hits and four runs over five and one-third innings, striking out six and walking five. Hernandez took the loss for Miller Varsity Rebels. The hurler went three and one-third innings, allowing five runs on seven hits, striking out none and walking two. Liam Good provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Miller Varsity Rebels with three runs batted in. The number three hitter went 1-for-4 on the day. Good, Adrian Quintana, Elian Salas, and Giovanni Aguilar each collected one hit for Miller Varsity Rebels. Troy tallied 15 hits in the game. Jaden Pearson and Lopez each collected three hits for Troy. Lopez went 3-for-4 at the plate and led the team with four runs batted in. Camden Jefferson collected two hits for Troy in three at bats. Troy ran wild on the base paths, accumulating five stolen bases for the game. Troy turned one double play in the game.
