Fontana, CA — By GameChanger Media Miller Varsity Rebels had trouble keeping up with Hesperia in a 12-3 loss on Saturday. Hesperia were the first to get on the board in the first when Dru Lona hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. Miller Varsity Rebels took the lead in the bottom of the second. Michael Castillo singled, scoring two runs, to give Miller Varsity Rebels the advantage, 2-1. Hesperia captured the lead, 5-2, in the top of the third when Lona hit a sacrifice fly, scoring two runs, an error scored one run, and Lincoln Snow doubled, scoring one run. #18 earned the win for Hesperia. The pitcher gave up four hits and two runs over five innings, striking out three and walking two. Dylan Hernandez took the loss for Miller Varsity Rebels. The starting pitcher went two and two-thirds innings, surrendering five runs (three earned) on five hits, striking out one and walking one. Liam Good led Miller Varsity Rebels with four hits in four at bats. Castillo and Angel Lopez each drove in one run for Miller Varsity Rebels.
